Good things come to those who wait, they say. I have found something worth waiting for. This time last year I was sleeping in my car like a fanatic waiting for the doors to open to one of the best things since sliced bread...the Kids Market and Mom Consignment Sale. Picture it...a Kia Spectra, two women, a trunk and a back seat fully loaded with all kinds of stuff for us to sale. It is 30 degrees out and we are freezing, but being the dyehards that we are, we do it. Why?
You can take your bundle of stuff to this consignment sale, these great ladies put your stuff out to be sold, and you come back in a few weeks after everything is set up. You shop and outfit one child for an ENTIRE SEASON for around $150!!! They have everything from boys to girls, from infant toys to big boy toys, doll houses, VTech readers, movies...you name it. And why do they call it "and Mom"? They have maternity!!! Baby beds, mat. clothes, bedding, furniture, high chairs, the bouncy things, Boppy pillows, baby safety stuff. You name it!
Why sleep in the cold? The quicker you get in, the earlier you can come back and shop, not that they are in danger of running out of stuff.
What's in it for me? Besides clothing my children for a fraction of the cost of buying at the mall, I get paid for the stuff I sell. Not to mention uninterrupted girl time with my sister.
